Fahe conducts a variety of outreach campaigns to drive visibility and increase support for our work.

Hurricane Helene Response

Fahe is mobilizing its network to support affected communities, leveraging over 40 years of experience in housing, community services, and disaster recovery. The organization is coordinating local, state, and federal aid, and providing resources to residents and organizations. Fahe is actively fundraising for the Hurricane Helene Recovery Fund, with all donations directed toward recovery efforts.

Housing Can’t Wait

In February of 2025, Fahe launched an expansion to our “Housing Can’t Wait” Campaign, expanding its focus beyond disaster-impacted Kentucky to include all of Appalachian Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee.  The goal of this campaign is to capture the attention of policy makers on the housing challenges their communities are facing, and what the lasting effects will be without intervention and action.

Why Fahe and why now?

The reality is that Fahe Members know firsthand the role of housing in child, family and community wellbeing. Fahe Members know housing that meets folks at every age and stage of life is integral to economic development & sustainability. And Fahe Members are experts at generating local solutions to local challenges.  Our hope is that this campaign will encourage our local and state elected officials to join us in helping advance strategies to ensure no community is left behind due to a lack of safe and stable housing.

  • In KY: We’re working to modernize the State’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
  • In TN: We’re seeking partnerships to fund housing that working families can afford.
  • In VA: We’re hoping to catalyze local and state officials around how investments in housing will support recent economic investments and job creation efforts.
