NeighborWorks Week 2020: Building Strong Communities Together Every Day

appalachia, Housing, National | June 5, 2020

Every year during National Homeownership Month (June), NeighborWorks America (NWA) brings together tens of thousands of people in a week-long period of education and celebration of housing and community building.   Known as NeighborWorks Week, this celebration brings together NeighborWorks members, such as Fahe, to lift up the good work performed in communities across the country and to showcase how we’re “Building Strong Communities Together, Every Day.”

During this week, Fahe will be sharing how our Members work together to help build the American Dream through providing opportunities in homeownership, financing, leadership, and community development.  With 50+ Members across Appalachia, the Fahe Network is able to connect investment to boots on the ground leadership throughout one of the most difficult places to serve in the country.

Since 2020 marks Fahe’s 40th Anniversary, we’re also taking a look back at the impact we’ve achieved with our partners, which includes NeighborWorks America. Be on the lookout this week for stories highlighting the impact we’ve had in Appalachian communities thanks to our deep relationship with NWA.

You’re Invited to Participate!

NeighborWorks Week is about ALL communities coming together, not just those served by their membership. How is your organization or community group uplifting your neighborhood?  Share your stories and pictures with us and we’ll share them on social media. Let’s show the impact we have when we Build Strong Communities Together Every Day.
