Housing Can’t Wait®: Building Visibility and Support for Appalachia’s Housing Future

Fahe, Housing Can't Wait | June 24, 2025

The Fahe Network has set an ambitious goal: to double our housing impact by 2030.

This bold challenge—adopted by our Members at the 2024 Annual Meeting—is about more than numbers.

It reflects a shared commitment to regional resilience and systems change. Achieving it will require both proven strategies and bold new approaches. We’ll continue to deliver disaster recovery programs and increase the scale of homebuilding and rehabilitation across the region. At the same time, we must broaden our base of support through persistent fundraising, investment, and advocacy.

Visibility is essential to this effort. The housing crisis—and our solutions—must be seen and understood by more people than ever before.

To meet this need, we’re launching a five-year visibility and marketing campaign, beginning with a strong push this summer. At the center is our new digital hub: www.housingcantwait.org—a platform that showcases the scope of the crisis, highlights how the Fahe Network is solving it, and underscores the urgency of action.

Starting now, Fahe Members are coming together to drive traffic and engagement.

Through storytelling, social media, and local outreach, we’re working to grow our circle of support—reaching funders, investors, and policymakers who are ready to back our mission.

To make participation easy, we created the Housing Can’t Wait Campaign Toolkit. This plug-and-play resource includes:

  • Social media graphics and sample posts
  • A quick video demo
  • Website banners and badges
  • Ready-to-use digital content for Member outreach

With most of our 50+ Members expected to participate, we’re on track to generate strong, coordinated visibility across the region.

Every voice strengthens our message. Every story builds understanding. Every click moves us closer to a future where safe, affordable housing is the rule—not the exception.

Because Housing Can’t Wait—and neither can we.
