Fahe’s Jim King Joins Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear to Congratulate Recipients of the First Rural Housing Trust Fund Awards
In October, Fahe Chief Executive Officer Jim King joined Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear to congratulate the nine recipients, including several Fahe members, of the first round of Rural Housing Trust Fund (RHTF) Awards.
The RHTF awards support nonprofit housing agencies that are helping Kentuckians recover from the 2021 tornadoes that struck Western Kentucky and the 2022 flooding that impacted Eastern Kentucky.
King said, “A year ago progress to rebuild seemed almost impossible, something that could never be done alone. But instead, Eastern Kentucky has pulled together as one community. With the leadership and support of Governor Beshear, the legislature, community leaders and nonprofits in the region are making real progress. Today is another huge step forward in rebuilding eastern Kentucky and we are doing it together.”
Recipients of the awards are: Beattyville Housing Development Corp., Daniel Boone Community Action Agency, Frontier Housing, HOMES Inc., Housing Development Alliance, Partnership Housing, Sandy Valley Habitat for Humanity, Community Ventures Corp., and The Housing Partnership Inc.
