Fahe is a proud member of NeighborWorks America.  Every year NeighborWorks designates a week to raise awareness and change in local neighborhoods.  During this time, members host events that take many forms including home repairs and rehabs, landscaping projects, neighborhood tours, educational seminars, and training.   This NeighborWorks week is taking place June 1 – June 8and several Fahe Members are taking part.

Community Housing Partners (CHP) – CHP is teaming up with Christiansburg Home Depot staff and Bike the U.S. for MS volunteers to provide home repairs and improvements at the homes of two individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis and to help with grounds clean up at an emergency shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Homesource east tennessee (Formerly Knox Housing Partnership KHP) – KHP celebrated by co-hosting a block party with Green Hills Apartments at Lombard Place.  Local organizations and AmeriCorps members participating in the Appalachia CARES programs set up booths and provided education about energy conservation.

Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise, INC. (CNE) – CNE will be participating in several events including the Chattanooga Market, Glass Street Park Grand Opening, Chattanooga Lookouts non-profit night, NeighborGood Mixer, and a Partnership Appreciation Luncheon.

Community Action Partnership of North Alabama There are two events scheduled, one is a forum to bring elected officials, business leaders, and housing industry leaders to discuss the barriers to homeownership and the need for more affordable housing.  The other event is a beautification project at a local childcare center and a clean up of a former foreclosed home that is now on the market.
