About: Kingsport Housing & Redevelopment Authority (KHRA) was created in 1939 by the citizens of the City of Kingsport. The charge given to KHRA was to develop affordable housing for Kingsport’s lowest-income and most vulnerable citizens. KHRA remains dedicated to fulfilling that mission. KHRA seeks to fulfill its mission through a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of low-income persons in Kingsport.
