North Central West Virginia Community Action Agency- Philippi, WV

North Central West Virginia Community Action Agency (NCWVCAA) has been an advocate for those living in poverty in West Virginia since 1966. NCWVCAA serves the residents of Monongalia, Marion, Preston, Taylor, Barbour, Tucker, Randolph, Pocahontas, and Greenbrier counties. They also serve the residents of Webster County through their Head Start program. In each county, NCWVCAA operates an office facility where staff and volunteers find unique opportunities to help citizens empower themselves.

Committed to reducing the effects of poverty on the region, NCWVCAA offers variety of programs to help Individuals, families, and communities meet the challenges of today and overcome the changes of tomorrow. These programs include case management, VITA/EITC, Head Start/Early Head Start, homeless recovery, housing assistance, veteran services, and weatherization.

NCWVCAA is a certified packager USDA 502 Direct loans through Fahe’s USDA 502 Packaging program. The 502 Direct Packaging Program allows Fahe to enhance the delivery of these mortgage loans to rural areas through a network of intermediaries, many of which are Fahe Members. This allows underserved areas access to affordable mortgage products and allows the packagers a chance to earn a fee which increases their capacity to serve communities.

Through these programs, NCWVCAA empowers families and individuals to reach their highest levels of social and economic independence, making the American Dream a reality for the families and residents of North Central West Virginia.
