On Thursday, September 26, the Kentucky Access to Recovery (KATR) program held an open house in Louisville, KY to celebrate the recent opening of a new office. Alongside the Louisville Recovery Center, the open house showcased the services KATR is now able to provide to those in recovery in and around Louisville. The Louisville office serves Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Bullitt counties. Two other KATR offices are located in Boone and Letcher counties.
Fahe, in partnership with the State of Kentucky and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), established the Kentucky Access to Recovery program earlier this year. The KATR program is designed to help both men and women recovering from an opioid addiction. The services KATR provides are free to low-income adults who are in eligible service areas and currently in treatment or in the early stages of recovery (2 years or less). The KATR program is one part of Fahe’s recovery efforts.
As KATR continues to grow, we are excited to be able to expand our services to Louisville and its surrounding areas. With the third office now open, KATR is able to better serve those seeking recovery across the state.
The open house had a great turnout! Having the community rally their support around KATR and other recovery efforts is essential in cultivating an environment that is supportive of those seeking recovery and achieving long-term success.
