Fahe Staff at Florence KATR office

The Kentucky Access to Recovery (KATR) program held an open house in Florence, KY on August 22 to celebrate the recent opening of a new office.   The open house showcased the services KATR is now able to provide to those in recovery in Northern Kentucky.  The Florence office serves Boone, Kenton, Gallatin, and Grant Counties.  Two other KATR offices are located in Letcher and Jefferson counties.

Fahe, in partnership with the State of Kentucky and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS), established the Kentucky Access to Recovery program earlier this year. The KATR program is designed to help both men and women recovering from an opioid addiction. The services KATR provides are free to low-income adults who are in eligible service areas and currently in treatment or in the early stages of recovery (2 years or less). The KATR program is one part of Fahe’s recovery efforts.

We are incredibly excited to extend KATR services to Northern Kentucky.  Increased access to essential services greatly increases the success of people in recovery which in turn has a tremendously positive impact on our communities.

There was a great turnout for the open house and we’ve seen lots of community support for the program across the state.  A welcoming community and supportive network play a very important part in the lives of people in recovery and help to reduce recidivism.
