NeighborWorks America Celebrates 40 Years

NeighborWorks America (NWA) is celebrating 40 years of strengthening American communities.  Fahe is a proud NWA member and has flourished over the years thanks to their support, training opportunities, and networking opportunities with other great organizations across the country.

NWA is a national organization focused on the advancement of affordable housing, community development, and families across the country.  The NeighborWorks America network consists of over 245 members in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.  The have served approximately 4 million individuals and families across the country and strive to enable every community to be a place of opportunity for its residents.

NeighborWorks believes in the Appalachian people and in Fahe’s ability to encourage opportunity and support local leaders so they can succeed.  Over the years, NeighborWorks America has partnered with Fahe on several of our important initiatives including:

Elder Initiative  – Fahe’s Elder Initiative works to foster cross-sector collaboration to find effective aging in place solutions that work well in the Appalachian region.

Appalachia HEAT Squad® – The Appalachia HEAT Squad is a program dedicated to improving the lives of all people in our region by expanding the access to energy efficient home improvements that save people money, improves quality and comfort, and extends the life of the home.

Mortgage Broker – The Fahe Mortgage Broker Bootcamp was designed to strengthen Member resilience by providing education and resources to organizations interested in bringing quality mortgage products to rural and underserved areas.

Being a Neighbor Works America member allows Fahe to remain innovative and to continue to grow as a leader in Appalachia.  Fahe, and the other members across the country, are better equipped to serve our mission thanks to NeighborWorks America.  We wish them a happy 40^th Anniversary and we hope for at least another 40 years of excellent partnership.
