Appalachia HEAT Squad ® (AHS) provides much-needed access to energy efficient home improvements that save people money and improve the overall lifespan of their home. Since its inception, AHS has served over 100 households with energy audits and rehabs, in addition to loaning out more than $90,000 in energy efficient repair funds.

AHS has launched a new blog to inform potential customers of the benefits of utilizing the program and to introduce them to the people providing their services.  The blog also provide resources for anyone wanting to learn more about the program’s impact.

Megan Step, an intern with AHS, recently wrote about two of Appalachia HEAT Squad’s auditors and how their love for the region fuels a passion for their work serving local communities.

The blog can be read here: https://www.appalachiaheatsquad.org/meet-the-energy-auditors-of-homes/.
