Fahe is proud to be taking part in the 2020 HOUSING VISION program, a three-year, multi-partner, collaborative affordable housing initiative by housing providers working to improve the lives of Kentuckians in need. The goal of 2020 HOUSING VISION is to significantly increase affordable housing for people in need of safe, decent, energy efficient homes.
“2020 HOUSING VISION is a call to action for Kentuckians,” said 2020 HOUSING VISION Director, Mindy Shannon Phelps. “It’s a call for advocacy, compassion, and construction of affordable housing not just for some, but for all our neighbors in need.”
The announcement of the program took place on February 5th at the Kentucky State Capitol Rotunda. Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin kicked off the event and was joined by Mindy Shannon Phelps, Project Director of 2020 HOUSING VISION; Edwin King, CEO of Kentucky Housing Corporation; Lyle Hanna, Board of Directors President, Kentucky Habitat for Humanity and 2020 HOUSING VISION Chairman; and Jim King, President and CEO of Fahe.
“We need to invest in healthy, affordable housing for all Kentuckians,” stated Jim King, President and CEO of Fahe. “Opportunities are shaped by an individual’s housing, neighborhood, and environment. I am excited by the 20/20 Housing Vision because we know that Policy and efforts that address housing is one the most effective ways to open doors of opportunity in our Commonwealth.”
Collaboration has always been the cornerstone value of Fahe. We are excited to be joining with new and existing partners to bring about opportunity and change for Kentucky families.
