Fahe in the News
Forces for Good
In 2007, Leslie R. Crutchfield and Heather McLeod Grant compiled 4 years of hard work and research of successful practices in the nonprofit world to develop their book: Forces For Good. The result was a case study of 12 high-impact nonprofits and the six practices that have led to their success.
Now in 2012, the Revised and Updated Edition of Forces for Good has been released with several new chapters that explore how smaller nonprofits can apply the six practices and a new case study of 13 smaller high-impact nonprofits including Fahe.
We are very proud to have been included in this monumental book. Our organization can be found under chapter 12, “Forces for Local Good” in the section “Practice 2: Make Markets Work.” It discusses the scale and impact that Fahe has accomplished in the broken market of Appalachia.
We encourage nonprofits and anyone wanting to learn more on how to make an impact to read this book. It can be found at http://www.forcesforgood.net/buy.html. Fahe does not receive any compensation for this endorsement.
